Although I haven't gone to Ecuador yet, as the trip will not be until June; I am very excited to be traveling to a location where I can help so many people. Plus having never traveled out of the country, except for Canada or been on an airplane will be an all new experience for me. I've been told that at my age it is unusual that I haven't at least been on an airplane. In the many years I have been alive (born in the early 70's) I haven't had a need to be on a plane, so now not only am I going, but two of my four children will be going to.
I will be traveling with approximately 25 volunteers. Our mission is to provide medical care and shoes and socks to the people in the villages around Ecuador. I look forward to traveling and meeting new people and learning about their way of life.
My goal is to write about each area we travel to and provide pictures to go along with any people I mention in my blog. It should prove to be a fun and exciting trip...bring on the adventure.
